OUR STORY
Graham Barrow is an artisanal organic producer of the finest quality, single variety, extra virgin olive oil. Barrow Olives commenced in 1993 with the purchase of a small, mature grove of Verdale olive trees at Vinifera, near Swan Hill. No pesticides or chemical fertilisers are used. To ensure the highest quality oil, the olives are harvested early in the season and processed on site within 24 hours of being picked in a temperature controlled environment.

Extra Virgin Olive Oils
Early Harvest Premium Oil
Our premium oil is pressed during the early part of the season when the olives are green. Early harvest olives have a lower oil percentage but the resulting oil is stronger and fresher in flavour and with higher levels of polyphenols, anti-oxidants and the lowest level of free fatty acids. These three levels are the determinants of how extra virgin an extra virgin olive oil is.
To ensure premium quality, we process our olives on site within 25 hours of harvesting using a modern press located in a temperature controlled environment. Any organic waste is returned to compost naturally.
Our Verdale olives produce a very fruity and grassy flavoured oil which is slightly peppery. Verdale olive oil is often blended with the more common variety olive oils to improve the flavour. The oil percentage is not as high as the more common olive oil varieties which is why it is not used by larger commercial producers.

Flavoured Oil
Lime Pressed Olive Oil
Crushed with our home grown Tahitian Limes, this fused olive oil enhances salads, fish, and steamed vegetables with a great fresh taste and aroma.
Garlic Pressed Olive Oil
Crushed with locally grown garlic this is our best selling flavoured oil that can be added to salads and hot dishes like pasta just prior to serving or used as a dipper with bread.

Table Olives
Freshly marinated greeen and black olives
Only available at our market stalls, we marinate our naturally cured olives the day before in our own premium extra virgin olive oil with added garlic flakes. These keep for two weeks if refrigerated.
